We started MurkFile because the best stories are often buried in old newspapers, court records and forgotten archives. Our job is to dig them up and tell them the way they deserve to be told: in full, with context, and without the noise.

• We respect the people involved. Behind every case are real people and families. We avoid sensationalism and graphic detail.
• We use modern tools responsibly. We use digital tools, including AI, to help with research and production. Every story is reviewed and checked before it is published.
